Appolgies all round to Relocasia.
I went off a bit abrubtply, with my rant. Suffice to say after a couple of frantic emails between France, Hong Kong and Orlando, to a manager on holiday, everything has been resolved.
It was a bit more expensive that I anticipated, I can't recomend anyone use Demarines for their move into France. But Relocasia pulled out the stops and I am now satisfied I got the best deal and service possible.

Realocasia - real rip off
I totally agree with the negative comments about this bunch.
I moved a container back to France from Hong Kong and it has been nothing but problems and a bump, in the price by Eur1100, almost 20% of the original quote. This was justified by the difficulties of the small village roads - which had been explained before the quote.
Their staff is either away or on holiday and it is impossible to get to speak to any management.
I could not recommend any company less.

Relocasia? No thanks. I am not a competitor....but a client that just moved to Melbourne Australia from Hong Kong. First they come do the evaluation promise to pack and unpack everything, disassemble and assemble everything, then what happens is: they give you a quotation, usually cheaper than any other company, you have to pay in advance, they come and pack everything, the following day you receive an email asking for more money because the volume is bigger than what they thought (and they should be professional); the goods arrive, their local agent refuse to assemble some furniture because too 'complicated' and ask for extra money. I refuse to pay and Relocasia HK refuse to pay. Finally I assemble the furniture myself. Professional yes, in fraud!

One measure of a moving company’s worth is their response to this question: “How many people are in charge of my move?” If the response to this question is “a few,” then watch out. This was not the case with Relocasia. They worked directly with me throughout and I kept 1 contact within the company from start to finish. I never got the run around which is so rare these days. They were upfront about every step of the move, always responded within hours of my e-mails, and the manager himself took my calls every time I rang. I have been in Beijing for 6 months and the company decided that it would be better to move operations back home. I used my company’s contracted movers to ship everything out but then had to find my own movers to ship the whole house back. Relocasia walked me through all the options and gave me far more choice than the other companies even told me about! I will use this company every time I have a chance, I just hope it’s doesn’t come again too soon. Relocasia, thank you for a GREAT job.

Moved twice before but this one went beautifully. I had contact throughout the whole move and everything got back to my house in perfect condition. Will use again for sure.

The level of professionalism and service in this company is really amazing. Moving is one of my least favorite 'necessary evils' but this company made it super easy. They were flexible with the packing dates, delivered materials before hand, and actually called just to check if there was anything I needed! Needless to say, everything arrived in great condition and I will use Relocasia every chance I get. I don't normally post reviews but feel strongly enough to do so this time!

Truly outstanding service. My only regret is talking to other companies first. These guys did a stellar job and were in constant contact over the entire move. It arrived in perfect condition and I will use them again every chance I have. The manager James Fielding was indeed a tremendous help.

Moved from West Coast USA to Shanghai 3 months ago... Relocasia has guided me through the process and I am more than happy to recommend them.
They factored in quite a few other extra's at no other cost and seemed to care far more about my moving experience than the other 5 companies I met with.

Relocasia is an excelent company with a great team !
I want to give a very big thank you to all the Relocasia staff who helped me with my move from Beijing to Singapore. Without Their understanding and amazing client service, my relocation will not be this smooth. I really appreciated their assistance.
Thanks to Anthony helping me repack my boxes; If he hadn't helped me repack, I would not be able to fit everything in those boxes. Susan and Claire at the Beijing office for all the calls and emails; Mohit for processing my payment. I am sure I have missed out names and pardon me.

I echo AXE's and maddie754's comments: STAY AWAY from Relocasia. I am not a competitor. I am a regretful and exasperated client of Relocasia Hong Kong. My shipment took more than 5 months. Relocasia scheduled and then cancelled 3 separate delivery dates in the States, for which I incurred costs to have people on standby to receive the shipment. They used a pickup truck to haul the shipment over the last 800 miles. The delivery was cancelled one time because the truck was pulled over for an illegal load. Relocasia ultimately gave up on the delivery and dumped the shipment at a local moving company and then held it hostage for more cash to pay for the local mover to deliver. James Fielding can deny this but I will happily provide the entire email chain detailing all this and much more to anyone who doubts me.

I find the comments you post online somewhat comical. You can talk to your staff Cara Lee and your Regional Director Piya Narang about an on going case happened right under your nose in Relocasis Shanghia office right now.
I have your Shanghai office to pick up my shipment on Dec 15th 2008. The shipment has arrived at US on Jan 19th and cleared the custom on Jan 22nd.
Today is March 19th. My as well as 7 other peoples' shipments in this container are still sitting at the port.
On the bill of lading, your Shanghai office has showed wrong phone number of your release agent. Your co-loader's office at USA can not reach your destination agent for two months to arrrange the container release.
I have been calling your Shanghai office and your US destination agent to find out what is the problem many many times.
I have also complained to your Regional Director for many many times via phone calls or via e-mails.
Long story short, as it today, the container is still sitting at the port and within two days the goods for sure will go on auction because you and your destination agent can not come to an agreement who should pay the demurrage charge to MSC first to get the container released.
I have paid good money for you to move all of my personal stuff back to US. Your company call yourself a professional mover but yet can not get this simple task done right.
If I have saw all the comments posted on this site earlier, I would pay a little more and ask Crown to move my stuff.
I hope the rest of 7 people involved can also see my comments now and contact me so that I can tell them the truth about your service.
There is no sense to call your office because they are really not capable of dealing with any crisis and complaints. Your Regional Director also does not return phone calls when things getting ugly and when a customer getting angry for an obvious reason.
I myself have gave up and prepared for my shipment to be auction out by MSC. For all the other expats out there, you should think twice before you will chose relocasis to handle your goods with high sentimental values because you may never see your stuff again if you do.

I wouldn't use this company again if THEY paid ME. They treated us like absolute kings - that is, until we gave them our money. After that, they effectively disappeared. Since the second we turned over our cash, every single assurance that Relocasia made our family turned out to be a lie.
The delivery was months late, no one responded to my calls and requests, and we were NEVER told what was happening with our boxes! My shipment still hasn't arrived, and I'm beginning to doubt it ever will.

You must be careful when using this company. Be very specific and detail instructions as well as payments. We paid for an extra month of storage with the understanding that if it was not used it would be refunded. When it came time for the refund, the company has become very unresponsive. They have effectively stolen our money.
Much along the lines of klm0404, our shipment with Relocasia started well but was left in a storage warehouse in Guangzhou rather than being sent onto our new home. Our shipment was packed in Shenzhen in early June. We expected to receive it in mid-August. We had great difficulty getting ahold of anyone at the company, and it took days to find out our shipment hadn't been sent. It was finally sent in mid-September (a full month after we should have received it!) and arrived to us at the beginning of November. They also added on last minute 'peak season' shipping charges and storage charges. Not to mention, when packing our shipment, we were told that they had 'mis-estimated' the size, and we would have to pay premiums to take all of our belongings with us. We are still waiting to hear about insurance payments on the 3 items damaged. I would not only refuse to recommend Relocasia for a move, I would actively discourage it!
